Once upon a time, there was a princess who was supposed to wait patiently in her tower, look pretty, and let the prince handle everything.

She said: absolutely not.

Runaway Princess Pages was born from the belief that you don’t need rescuing — you need the right tools to write your own story. So she traded the tower for a dragon companion, swapped the prince for a stack of fantasy novels, and set off to build something entirely her own.

The woman behind these pages..

Hi, I'm June.

I'm 43, married for 15 years to a husband who puts up with my chaos, and mom to a 12-year-old daughter who's probably going to run the world someday. Last fall, I graduated with my BS in Accounting, and then promptly decided that wasn't quite the ending I wanted. Now I'm working on my Master's in Mathematics, on my way to becoming a teacher (math, business, marketing, and accounting; I like to keep my options open).

While I finish that journey, I sub at local schools and spend my "free" time building this little corner of the internet.

I also live with chronic pain, which means my path hasn't always looked like the one I planned. Some days that means slower progress, different choices, or just doing things my own way. If that sounds familiar, if your story doesn't follow the scrithe script either, you're in good company here.

When I'm not buried in textbooks or printables, I'm surrounded by animals. Currently: 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a whole lot of fur on everything I own. I've loved and lost pets along the way too, including a sweet boy I wasn't able to save, which is part of why I've been toying with an idea for a story about a cat necromancer who brings back every cat she's ever loved for ridiculous, heartfelt adventures. (No promises on when, or if, that ever becomes a real thing. But it lives in my head, so who knows.)

This brand is built in the in-between spaces, between degrees, between plans, between who I was supposed to be and who I'm actually becoming. If you're in your own in-between, welcome.
